June in Cairo runs hot, often above 38°C / 100°F. Every daytime activity here is scheduled early for that reason.
Fly into Cairo International Airport (CAI). It is roughly an hour from the New Administrative Capital.
Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or an e-visa in advance. Please check your own requirements before travelling.
The currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP). Cards are widely accepted in hotels; carry some cash for bazaars and feluccas.
